As we have a limit of the number of children we can accept, once booked in there will be no refund if cancelled within 14 days of the first program date. Full refund will be provided if cancelled with more than 14 days notice.

The children will be split into 2 groups. Each class will contain approximately 10-15 children per group. The children are grouped according to their age and with friends. Sometimes classes can grow to 20 children; in this incidence the number of supervisors will increase as needed. There is also an additional supervisor who oversees the whole workshop and helps out were necessary. The ratio of children to supervisors is 6:1.

Yes of course! We want your child to have the best time possible with old friends and new.

Do not worry; this is a perfect opportunity for your child to make new friends. The program is very nurturing, ensuring everyone is included and made to feel comfortable.

Absolutely. Your child can attend as many days as they like. There are 6 different programs on offer, but we have had many instances with children attending the same program multiple times and have the best time! They love to show us how much they’ve improved.

We begin each day with the children decorating the aprons given to them and then the children are put into groups and to start cooking. They stop for morning tea and lunch. The day consists of mostly cooking but with some down time doing crafts.

  • Water bottle
  • Hat and sunscreen
  • Clothes suitable for cooking (getting messy is a sign of extra fun had)
  • Closed shoes suitable for the kitchen
  • If your child has very specific dietary requirements, you are able to bring your own food as long as there is no meat and NO traces of nuts.

Valuable toys, such as IPads, Nintendo etc.

Mobile phones – If it is absolutely necessary your child brings a mobile phone or any of the above, please understand Junior Chefs is not liable for any loss or damage.

Yes, we have up to 10 million dollars Public Liability Insurance.

There is always someone with us who has had first aid training. Safety always comes first and children will not be handling dangerous utensils.

Please be aware that bullying, aggressive or non-co-operative behaviour is not acceptable. If we feel the safety and interests of the other children are being jeopardised because of this behaviour you will be asked to collect your child immediately.
